Nutella, check. Hazelnuts, check. These blondies are moist and chewy and oh so yummy. Next time, I'll throw in a handful or two of chocolate chips for good measure.
Hazelnut Blondies
makes about 2 doz/adapted from this recipe
Here's what I used:
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1 heaping teaspoon Nutella
Here's what I did:
- Mix together flour, baking powder and salt - set aside.
- Melt butter and beat in sugar .
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until combined.
- Mix in hazelnuts and Nutella.
- Bake at 350 degrees in a prepared pan (I used an 8x11) until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool, cut and eat it!
