Hazelnut Blondies


Nutella, check. Hazelnuts, check. These blondies are moist and chewy and oh so yummy. Next time, I'll throw in a handful or two of chocolate chips for good measure.


Hazelnut Blondies
makes about 2 doz/adapted from this recipe

Here's what I used:
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 heaping teaspoon Nutella

Here's what I did:

  1. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt - set aside.
  2. Melt butter and beat in sugar .
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Mix in hazelnuts and Nutella.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees in a prepared pan (I used an 8x11) until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool, cut and eat it!
